Jody Jenson is a Certified Perinatal Support Specialist and Certified Childbirth Educator. She has been in practice as a birth doula and educator since 2001, preparing and supporting families during pregnancy and birth at hospitals, free-standing birth centers, and at home. As well, the teaching and mentoring of new doulas, as they find their way along the path to becoming birth workers, has been an exceptional passion. Jody’s training organizations and affiliations include: Birth Wisdom Perinatal Support Specialist Educational Series, Best Birth Childbirth Educator Certification Program, DONA International, DASC (Doulas Association of Southern California), ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association), EBB (Evidence Based Birth) Professional, and (M)otherboard Birth Pro and Educator.

Jody and her husband, John, live in San Clemente and are parents to a grown daughter and a precious golden retriever. They love living by the sea, traveling to Kauai, and RV “glamping”. The privilege to walk beside and hold space for growing families throughout the childbearing process, is a gift beyond measure. To be able to share the skills of this unique career with doulas of tomorrow is indeed a labor of love.
